Today is Stouty's actual 40th Birthday!  Today's workout will be to honour that, and we will very much encourage you to hit this workout from Stouty's standards.  Meaning, the Wall Ball and DB reps will be done seated on a box. The thruster becomes a Seated shoulder press and the Wall ball 14/10 to 9/7 ft target. The T2B is a knee raise holding a 35lb DB between your thighs (the weight of his chair)."I've known Stouty for a longtime. We were friends long before his accident. Along with being friends, he's also one of my business partners (along with Steph McKean)!Over the past 5 years I've been lucky enough to capture on photo or film some pretty incredible moments.  Stouty continues to push the boundaries of what Adaptive Athletes in CrossFit can and will do and it's exciting to witness.By far the coolest moment was last June when I witnessed him take his very first step in almost 20 years (19 years and 363 days I believe) inside our gym! However this past August it was pretty amazing to see him on the competition floor at the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games.  A packed house in the Coliseum and everyone on their feet cheering!  The adaptive athletes who took to the floor deserve the big stage just like all the other athletes. Not because their Adaptive and it's inspiring, but because they're incredible athletes and they deserve to showcase their fitness!  It's something we had hoped would happen back when he first started doing the CrossFit Open back in 2013.  An exciting moment, which makes it even more exciting for the possibilities of whats to come.  Happy 40th Stouty.  We look forward to seeing what new boundaries you can push past."Have fun with this WOD.  Either you do it way its 40 reps of each movement to honour the fact that he's 40 today!
