Etiquette in the facility
A couple times during the year we tend to do some reminders. A few friendly reminders of some of the etiquette in the facility.
- Please introduce yourself to new members in your classes. They've heard us rave about how incredible our community is. Please welcome them with open arms!
- Please be on time for class, this shows respect to your coach and the other athletes. The only class that it is acceptable to be slightly late for is noon as we know your rushing on your lunch hour.
- Encroaching on the class before you, or coming in after you. There are a few times throughout the day when we have classes back to back, and we ask that in respect to the class just finishing or the class coming in after. Once your class has finished, please exit the floor area to give the class coming in their time in the gym. If you wish to stay to mobilize or socialize we absolutely encourage that, but please move to the mobility or lobby area to do so. And to also give the same respect to the class that is finishing up (including the kids classes on Monday, Wednesday + Friday) please stay out of the big gym area until your class time. It's intimidating as well as distracting for the kids to have adults coming into the gym to begin warming up.
- Your encouragement and support is always welcome, in fact it’s encouraged. But we have incredible coaches in our facility and it's there job to coach. Please continue to encourage and support your fellow athletes, but leave the coaching to the coaching staff!
- Please remember to wipe down all the equipment you use after use in the gym. The members coming in to use that equipment after you greatly appreciates it as do we! Also please do not write on the floors with chalk. This creates a big mess that does not clean up very easily. It's important to write things down and keep track of your workouts, so instead bring a book, grab a pen and keep track in your book please + thank you.
- Those partaking in Open Gym times. We love to see the facility used throughout the day. Lots of CrossFit facilities are still only open for certain hours, and close for a period of time each day. We open for 6am and stay open until 7:30pm to ensure that everyone is able to get their fitness in. This means we have a number of hours of open gym times though out the day. There are a few times when open gym in the small gym, overlaps class times. If you're using open gym during a class time, please look over the open gym policy on our website.
- Signing in has gotten much better thank you! ((Weekend signing in still needs lots of work though)) The Zenplanner Members app is the easiest and fastest way to sign in. It's a new app, so if you have the old app or the old CrossFit Indestri app, please delete those and download the new app.
- HAVE FUN! Remember that training is and should be FUN. Enjoy your time training. Sure sometimes in the middle of a workout it sucks, but dig deep, and remember, you don't 'have' to do this, you get to. Have fun doing it!
