Misconceptions
There are many misconceptions about CrossFit. “You have to be fit to do CrossFit”, “It’s dangerous”, “you have to have an athletic background to CrossFit”, “CrossFit is not for elderly people”, “CrossFit only has 20-25 movements that we repeatedly do over and over again”, the list goes on.... But one of the biggest, or most annoying misconceptions is that CrossFit will injury you!
CrossFit will not injury you!
Not listening to your coaches can lead to injury. Overtraining can lead to injury! But to think that CrossFit will injury you, is like thinking your going to get into an accident every time you get in a car.
Today we had someone stop by the gym to check out the space. Telling us that as a personal trainer when they took the course to get certified, they were advised against ever doing CrossFit! Really? Yes, because CrossFit will injury you!
It’s that type of thinking that is preventing countless people from achieving the potential benefits of what training CrossFit can truly do for their health, and overall fitness.
What we strive to do is create functional, smart + effective programming, employee knowledgeable + skilled coaches, + build a fun, friendly + safe environment for you to train + explore the limits of what your body is capable of doing!
You won’t hear us put down another form of training, or facility. That’s just not who we are or what we stand for.
