One Week
We're one week out from the kick off of the 2018 CrossFit Open. Next Thursday night at 8pm at games.crossfit.com the world will have all eyes on Dave Castro as he announces what 18.1 will be!If you haven't already, get signed up and join in the all the fun! As much hype as there is that surrounds the open, and while it is a competition in which movement standards must be met, and you are being judged. This is FUN! It's an event that brings together the world wide CrossFit community for 5 weeks. So, embrace it, and enjoy it!One critical change to the 2018 open we are making at CFI is that no one will be able to be judged before 9:00am on Friday mornings! If you can not make Saturday, we will absolutely do our best to help you make arrangements to be judged, but it can not happen before 9am on Fridays. One, classes come first, and the open workout can not interrupt a class, and two with each workout announced, there are certain rules and movement standards that will come out the night before that we need to go over with each judge before anyone does the workout to ensure the athletes and judges are both in alignment with the standards, and in some cases we need to set the gym up. Lines may need to be taped on the floor, etc. We also need to know if you can't make Saturday, please let us know ahead of time to make arrangements!We will also be taking the next round of athlete features, in the open photos with Justin.
