Mental Toughness Training Workshop with Dave Jones

Neuse River CrossFit has got us set up with a live 30 min virtual Mental toughness workshop for tomorrow night.  Now available to sign up for in Zenplanner.  Information regarding the Mental Toughness Workshops below:

The Mental Toughness Training(MTT) programming was designed by Doc Wally and myself who are professional sports psych coaches in the hockey community. Doc Wally and I have won 4 National Championships at the NCAA Div I, ACHA Div I, and Tier II Junior hockey levels, in the past two years with this curriculum. We are currently the Sports Psych coaches for 14 different teams.

As an avid crossfitter, I am especially excited to bring the MTT programming to the Crossfit community. As you know the mental side of the game has a tremendous impact on  long-term development, coachability, and competition-time performance. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most under-trained parts of the exercise performance for too many athletes. This is often because of three constraints:

  1. Athletes are not exposed to the importance of developing theirmental skills or don’t fully buy-in to its importance.

  2. Athletes don’t have access in their communities to high-qualitymental skills training specifically for Crossfitter looking to compete at higher levels

  3. Cost and convenience – meeting one on one with a sport psychology coach can be expensive and coordinating times to meet can be challenging.

I have customized the MTT programming for Crossfit athletes, who aspire to perform at the upper ranges of their ability consistently under pressure in the biggest moments. Please be aware Doc Wally and I are not what makes this training successful, its the programming. MTT training is like any other skill in the gym you have to work it to be successful.

The MTT programming  is comprehensive but designed in a step by step approach. We provide: videos; written assignments; imagery and focusing exercises; imagery and relaxation audio recordings; periodic live video conferences; and a range of additional resources for athletes to train their minds and develop their mental toughness skills. Additionally, the MTT program is cost-effective and can be done at your own pace from your home (or in the car, at the gym. etc.).

The curriculum is 4 hours long, I would like to break up the curriculum into 8 x 30 minutes sessions. Each session will have homework and exercises, those who want to participate are committing to the 8 sessions, please consider your commitment to the MTT programming before signing up.

There will be a “Free” PDF that will go along with the sessions, a MTT Journal will be available for $35.00 (includes shipping).

Other 1 on1 coaching session will be available based upon request

Here is the PDF MTT Journal
