HERO WOD

In Crossfit there are common Hero WODs a lot of Boxes will take on annually. We also do the same but this year we are going to try to introduce some new ones in as there are over 175 different Hero WODS and we would like to expand our experience with them. Hero Workouts are to pay tribute with a little pain of our own for thanks to those who serve and risk their lives for our freedoms. Today's Hero WOD is a new one to Indestri and if you feel like quitting or that its too hard.. dig a little deeper today and remember why you have what you have and how many put their lives on the line everyday to make sure we are safe. (Military, Fire, Police and EMS) Thank you to the members of our own Gym that are Hero's everyday.TODAY'S WOD IS FOR:"T.U.P"U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Michael H. Simpson, 30, of San Antonio, Texas, died May 1, 2013, from injuries caused by an improvised explosive device on April 27, 2013, in Arian, Afghanistan. Simpson, nicknamed "The Unquiet Professional," was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Krista; sons, Michael and Gabe; sister, Abigail; brothers, David and Isaac; parents, Michael W. and Barbara; and many other friends and family. Donations can be made in his name to The Unquiet Professional, a nonprofit organization started by the family and benefitting Gold Star Families.Monday April 10, 2017
