CrossFit has always been known for training for the unknown and the unknowable. It’s why our training is constantly varied functional movements. We train to be able to do everything, but to specialize in nothing.
The one thing we do can’t control within our constantly varied, is your behaviours. What we mean by that is the habits that you build, coming to the exact same class times, the same days of the week, setting up in the same places in the gym, etc. Change isn’t a bad thing, if you can’t change up your class times because of your work schedule, then at least get out of the habit of claiming a certain spot in the gym. If the back of the class is where you always stand, move up to the middle. You might not even realize that you have created this comfortable habit. We highly recommend changing up class times if and when you can, changing up days of the week, if you’re a 3x a week, you don’t need to stick to Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can attend Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or whichever days.
Building healthy habits and routines are great, and encouraged, but we always highly recommend you changing those habits up slightly from time to time, so that when life does throw things at you. Ie) you can’t get in one day because of a meeting, or you come in and someone else sets up in the spot you like, it doesn’t throw your whole experience off. You can roll with it.
