This Saturday
This Saturday is 25.1 the first open workout in 2025 CrossFit Open. Like always, we don’t really know much of anything just yet, because we don’t know what the workout will be. We don’t know timelines, etc.
So here’s what we do know.
We will need judges, so if you can help us with judging please come in, we greatly appreciate it, and can not run a smooth ship without you.
We would also love to have you come in and cheer everyone on, even if you’re not doing the open. Come in and experience the open and support those who are doing it. We highly, highly encourage you to come in and check it out, bring your family with you to show them what CrossFit is all about. (well the competition side of it anyway).
We will open the doors for 8:30am, and will do the athlete and judges briefing at 8:45am. Our first heat will kick off at 9am. The rest, of the timing we have to wait until we know the timing of the WOD. If you are an athlete competing or a judge volunteering, please ensure you arrive on time to be here for the briefing at 8:45am. Parking will for sure be an issue with the size of the snow banks. Please DO NOT park next door in front of South Winds Marine as they will be open. We are checking with Agnora to make sure we can use their overflow parking at the front of the building and have you walk over through the gated area.
When you arrive at the gym on Saturday morning, we will have the timing of heats on the board for you to sign up for a heat time. Please keep in mind that times are subject to change, depending on how many judges we have to help out, but we will do our very best to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
Athletes will be responsible for getting themselves warmed up before your heat time. The small gym will have a warm up for you to do, but you will need to time your warm up so you’re ready to go for your heat time.
And the theme for this Saturday is 80’s. So we encourage you to come dressed in your best 80’s attire. Judges, Athletes and Spectators are all encouraged to dress up.
Northern Hydration will also be on site on Saturday sampling their hydration drink.
