Sanitization

You may have noticed over the past day or so that we’ve added a hand sanitizer bottle to the baskets at each designated workout area. This will allow for you to not have to line up at the front door as it gets colder and more people end up coming in around the same time, you can head directly to your area and sanitize your hands there instead of waiting in a line. Same goes for prior to departure.

As silly as this may sound, please make sure you put everything in the basket neatly! keep the spray bottle and the sanitizer bottles upright. Weights have been dropped on the bottles, bottles have been tossed on the floor and broken, whole bottles of sanitizer leaked out. It may not seem like a big deal, but we’re spending hundreds of dollars, ( your full month membership ) on sanitizer weekly! We haven’t raised membership costs, even thought our cost of doing business has increased significantly, these are costs that’s we’ve currently been ‘eating’ ourselves. All we ask is that the time be taken to put everything nicely back in the sanitization baskets, please. It’s greatly appreciated, as silly as it might sound!

We still also have buckets of fit wipes in the facility, these are also disinfecting, we have noticed that the fit wipes work much better to remove chalk from the pull up rig and barbell’s. Please only use the fit wipes on the pull up bands, we just had to purchase a bunch of new bands because the alcohol was turning the rubber to mush, and we had almost new bands snapping. Please do not ever spray the alcohol on the rubber bands.

We have a fogger on route to the facility to be able to fog the plates between classes, so you can stop spraying them. The spray not only costs us a lot of money, it’s also starting to break down some of the equipment from so much use! Hopefully this new fogger with help with that!

The truth is, we don’t know what the virus may or may not live on, that is, if the virus ever comes in at all, so our sanitization efforts might be over kill. But at this point it’s keeping our doors open and all of you hopefully safe, so we thank everyone for helping us keep the facility sanitized!
