Reading the blog
Reading the blog and knowing what’s happening both in the facility, and with the upcoming workouts is important.
You need to know what’s happening in the facility, and the blog is the best way for us to share that with each of you. You also need to be and come prepared for class. On days when we lift stones, you might want to consider wearing a longer sleeve shirt, and also consider not wearing for favourite, or most expensive clothing, as the stones are rough and could cause snags, etc. ( For newer athletes, yep we lift all those big cement stones that sit outside along the window. It’s a ton of fun, but as mentioned, you might want to dress for it. ) On days when we rope climb (coming up very soon) you need to be prepared to protect your shins from rope burn, longer pants, a high sock, a knee sleeve over your shin, etc.
We hear a lot of people say they never read the blog because they don’t want to know what the workout is. We completely understand we’re writing a telling you this, and for those who opt not to read the blog, they most likely won’t read this. But we want to change that. Consider knowing what the workout is as training as well. If it’s because you think you might opt out of the workout if you know what it is, think of knowing as mental training to come on the days when you don’t like what you see.
It really is important to know what’s coming so you’re prepared, like for the workout below.
Please keep in mind, that depending on the whether on days when we have tires, and stones programmed, things might have to get switched up. We’re not made of sugar, and we do go outside on less than ideal days, but only as long as it’s safe to do so.
Now, who’s excited to lift some stones and flip some tires for the first time in 2022……
