Why do you Train?

Some of us train for work, some for sport, some to be able to play in our 4 season community, some for mental health, some for all the above.

Whatever your reason for training, we all train hard inside the facility, to live a better life outside the facility.

Thanks to Facebook memories a memory from 9 years ago came up today. 9 years ago Stouty and a team from CrossFit Indestri, Marc, Bill, Mark, Chuck, Parker and Scott took on Met Con Blue, a mountain adventure race. As part of the organizing team for the event that year, I got to witness and capture some of it. I’ll share a video that I asked a fellow participant to capture of the back half of the course.

Stouty and the other athletes who helped on the course used CrossFit as a way to train for this. We train to do hard things because life is hard, so whether you know it or not, your training inside the facility prepares you for so much more outside the facility.

Now take a peek a the video. Stouty is always proof to us that our bodies are capable of so much. With the help of this team, Stouty climbed Blue Mountain in his chair, and did every obstacle on the course. The last obstacle the halfpipe in front of a crowd of cheering people, all in awe of what they were witnessing.

Odd: 150m Row
Even: Down and Back Heavy object carry

Rest 2 mins between each EMOM
