Etiquette in the facility
As we’re back inside the facility and we have some new members joining and returning to us, it seems like a good time for a review of some etiquette in the facility. This list on the sign that hangs near of front door are the Original list of Rules at CFI from 11 years ago, we’ve added a few more over the years.
Please be on time for class. Some respect for your coaches and the other athletes.
Introduce yourself to all newcomers, as they may need to revive you later.
“Technique” is the only thing more important than the clock. Don’t sacrifice form for time.
At Indestri, we do a lot of squats. Get use to it.
Be Positive, show up with the right mindset. Good energy is contagious.
Don’t cheat the reps. Integrity is everything, you’re only cheating yourself.
You will get blisters on the pull up bar. Suck it up.
If somebody pukes, congratulate him or her as they’ve just discovered what intensity is.
Bring home your water bottles. We don’t need anymore.
If you bleed on the bars, please clean them off.
Let the coaches, coach!
Out of respect for all the athletes, please do not clean up your equipment during a WOD. If you finish early, hang out and cheer on everyone else finishing! We will clean up the equipment as a group after the workout!
Listen while the coaches are briefing the workout, and lesson. This shows respect to both the coach and the other athletes in the facility. It can be very distracting to everyone to have you moving around the facility gathering equipment while the coach is explaining the workout or giving a lesson on the movement.
Lastly, you can scream, yell, bleed, puke and pass out. Just DON’T QUIT.
