An Ottawa ICU Doc
You might remember that in December of 2020 we teamed up with Pete Shaw, former owner of CrossFit NCR in Ottawa, now he has his own space, to get CrossFit Affiliates all across Ontario to post at the same time on the same day an RX Fitness campaign. Pete had gathered upwards of 16 Ontario Doctors signatures on a letter asking the Ottawa Government to please work with Fitness Facilities like ours to keep Fitness Facilities open. Doctors expressed the importance of fitness for overall health, and were willing to sit with the Ontario Government and owners of Fitness Facilities to come together to figure out ways to keep fitness facilities open safely.
One of those doctors was Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, ICU & Palliative Care, from Ottawa. You may have seen him on our social media expressing his opinions. If you haven’t, please take a look, please share it. We’re thrilled to be opening again for in person training next week, but we really don’t ever want to be put back into this position again. We’ve been trying to get Fitness deemed as essential for 2 years. The more people who talk about the importance of getting Ontario Healthy as a whole the better! Hopefully this link below works.
