If you’ve been around CrossFit for any length of time you most likely know who or have heard of Dr. Kelly Starrett. Kelly who is now The Ready State, use to be Mobility WOD, and was the guru of all things CrossFit Mobility.
He famous said, “Every human being should be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves.”
Do you perform any maintenance on yourself?
When you feel the onset on something, a sore shoulder, a tight back, stiff ankles, etc. Are you doing some work on yourself? If not, why not? If the answer is you don’t know what to do, ask your coach, or check out the crazy amount of information that Kelly has available online on The Ready State, or YouTube.
You guys all come in here and train hard, you need to be performing at the very least some basic maintenance on your bodies. You don’t expect your car to run without and issues if you never maintenance it, the same can be said for your bodies.
