Why
Fitness is measurable. We say this a lot and tell you to write down your workouts, your numbers, etc. But why?
It’s not for us, it’s for you.
By writing down and tracking your workouts, not only can you see your progress, you can also make little notes to yourself. Maybe we do a benchmark workout like today with Elizabeth, and your note to yourself is your sleep the night before was less than ideal, you were stressed at work, you had a little tweak in your back you’ve been dealing with. Or maybe it’s the opposite, you had a great night sleep, have been eating really well, etc.
The goal is always to have you keep progressing. Progressing for everyone is different. For some it might be to RX the workout, for other’s it might be to slightly increase the weights we use, or keep working towards a movement standard like squatting below parallel. Whatever progress looks like for each of us, by keeping track and writing it down you’re able to see that progress.
It’s also pretty cool to look back on your workouts. We have some members who have WOD books from all their workouts over the past 11+ years.
Fitness is measurable, but only if your measuring it, by keeping track.
