Heavy Hearts
We’ve updated you on every update during Narda and the Hunt families journey throughout the last 5 years of her journey.
For those who are newer and don’t know, Narda, her husband Brian, and both of their daughters, Annabella and Olivia have been members of CFI off and on since 2013.
In 2017 Narda was told by doctors that she had just a few weeks to live, she was battling metastatic breast cancer. Thankfully there was a clinic in Germany that was able to give Narda a treatment that could possibly help prolong her life, but it was very expensive. With the help of so many people, they were able to raised the money needed. (We even held an event here at the gym and helped raise $12,000. with many of you attending.) Narda would end up going back to Germany multiple times for treatment over the past 5 years.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with all of you, that Narda passed away this past Friday evening.
There is a beautiful tribute video that Brian put together for Narda which we shared on Saturday on our FB page. Please go give it watch, Brian is an incredible film maker.
Friends of the Hunts have also set up a gofundme, as Brian is self employed and with that, there isn’t an opportunity for any bereavement time off. We have shared the link for anyone who would like to offer any support in that way as well.
We’ve also had a couple of you reach out and ask about a workout for Narda, as we typically do WOD’s to honour those we have lost. We will reach out and speak to Brian soon about doing a tribute workout for Narda, but we also want to give the Hunt family some time.
Narda is absolutely one of the strongest, bravest and most beautiful women we have had the honour of not only knowing, but having as a part of our CFI community, and the impact she has made of so many lives is truly special.
