Finishing the Movement
Something we’ve talked about before, is that because CrossFit also has a Sport of Fitness side to it, whether you ever decide to compete or not, the movements all still have a standard of movement, which we always want everyone to strive to achieve (aside from any injuries that might be limiting).
Spending time, a second or two, in the finish position of the movement is always beneficial. At the top of a push press, shoulder press, jerk, thruster, snatch etc. spending a second or two in the top, lock out position, is only ever going to strengthen that position, so show control in the movement and ensure that you’ve finished the rep.
