30 for YOU
Congratulations to Krista and Tara our Week Three giveaway winners for attending coach led virtual classes and/or using the zenplanner leaderboard. We had 323 names in the draw this week! Let’s keep this going and surpass 325 this week. If you haven’t tried a coach led virtual class yet, give it a try. If you miss a virtual class, still get the WOD in and put your scores in the zenplanner leaderboard under workout for the day.
As we mentioned last week, we typically find that the boost of motivation that comes with the New Year, begins to waiver slightly around now. This year with the province being under a Stay at Home order, we want to help add a little more fun and motivation to your days. So we’re adding some weekly challenges.
These challenge are small changes or additions to your daily life to help with an all around healthier lifestyle.
This first weekly challenge will be 30 for YOU.
Often times we are so focused on everything else and/or everyone else, that we forget or don’t make the time for ourselves. 30 for YOU is about spending 30 mins each day and doing something for just you. Ideally we want the 30 mins to be on top of the workout. It can be 30 mins that is doing anything for just you. Having a bath, reading a book, mediating, doing mobility, watching your favourite TV show. Something that is just for you. Something that makes you happy, brings joy into your day.
Time for yourself / aka. self care isn’t selfish. It’s very much the opposite. By giving ourselves some time to focus on just us for a period of time each day, you can give yourself a little boost, a recharge, to be a better person for those who count on you.
How keeping track of the challenge will work:
We’ve added a section to the leaderboard on zenplanner under the daily workout. Each day next week you will click either PASS or NO PASS the 30 for YOU challenge each day. Make sure you click the public box off or we won’t be able to see it. All the names that have PASS beside them everyday for the next week, will be added into a giveaway. Please be mindful when logging your workout between the 30 for YOU and the daily workout log as zenplanner only lets us stack them, not create to full separate. On the leaderboard after it’s been logged it will show as two separate results for us.
If you already do a version of 30 for YOU daily, perfect. If you never do this, it’s time to make time for 30 mins for just YOU daily!
