Paying Tribute
If you’re new to us, or new to CrossFit in general, you will find that we often pay tribute through workouts. You may hear us refer to Hero WODs, which are workouts named after fallen first responded + members of the military who lost their lives in the line of duty.
This is traditionally how Hero WODs were named, however some hero WODs fall outside the first responder + military, to teachers who lost their lives while saving students etc.
Hero WODs traditionally are workouts that always make us dig a little deeper, + push a little harder. After all, they’re named after Hero’s who have lost their lives.
Today we pay tribute with a 911 WOD. More details on the background of this particular WOD below.
For so many we remember exactly where we were 19 years ago on this day. Rather than take a score for the time of the WOD today, tell us where you were on September 11th, 2001.

Background of this WOD: This tribute workout is dedicated to the victims and survivors of the 9/11 attack at World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
9/11 was a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda against the United States. The attacks resulted in 2,977 fatalities, over 25,000 injuries, and substantial long-term health consequences, in addition to at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage.
The workout was designed by Misfit Athletics @misfitathletics who also posted a demo on their YouTube channel on September 11, 2019.
The rep scheme signifies the date of the attacks.
