After Murph
For those attending the workout Murph this coming Saturday.
A few things to keep in mind. Murph is a big workout. Big, not scary, so don’t let this post turn you off if you’re wanting to attend. Like every workout, we can give you options that are best suited for you.
But it’s a big workout, so fuel properly. Chances are, you will be working for well over an hour (with the warm up, etc.) So fuel, and hydrate. Also plan to take time after Murph to fuel and recover properly, and pay attention to your body in the days to follow Murph. No classes on the Holiday Monday, so use the time to continue your recovery. Go for a hike, etc. We live in a beautiful area and it’s the first long weekend of summer, so enjoy it. If your body is still feeling it from Murph on Tuesday, play it smart, listen to your body. Rest and recovery days are okay. In fact they’re needed.
You should be doing this all the time, but we’re mentioning it with respect to Murph, because for many of you this may be the first true Murph in over 2 years, or could be your first Murph ever, and it is a big one in terms of the length of the workout. So be kind to yourself.
Registration for the Saturday Murph is open now, we wanted to get a better idea of numbers. So if you’re planning on signing up, feel free to do so now.
