Shutdown
Firstly, we are now opening on Good Friday for all the morning and the noon classes. While we were originally not going to be open on Good Friday, because of the news today, we will be. (Not for the evening classes however.)
Todays news:
Ontario has pulled the emergency brake and is putting the province into a shutdown for the next 28 days. What does that mean for us?
While we were hoping that we would be allowed to move classes to outdoors, the Ontario Government has not moved us to grey, but to the white shutdown zone.
This does not mean your fitness stops for 28 days! We know everyone is sick of zoom, we agree. But it still allows us the ability to coach you, see you, and socialize.
We will be adding zoom classes back, as well as the online leaderboard. We will also be adding a couple new classes and workshops to the mix. We know some of you have pieces of cardio equipment at home, treadmills, bikes, etc. We will add an endurance based class for those of you interested, as well as a Gymnastics based workshop with work you can do from home.
We know it sucks, we feel you! It’s been a rollercoaster for us this past year, we want to be open and training you in person more than anything. But for the next few weeks, we’ll have to do that from a distance.
We know not everyone likes zoom, we would ask that you give a class a try rather than just not do anything. We will also still be posting the nightly workouts on the blog, so if you can’t make a zoom class, you can still hit the workout and upload your scores on the online leaderboard on zenplanner.
Our goal is to keep everyone safe, healthy and fit, and that will not change!
Please know that we will also still continue to be advocating for fitness to be deemed essential and for the very least to allow us to open for outdoor classes! If you want to be heard, email the premiers office! I was on the phone with them first thing this morning voicing our concerns. The more voices the better!
