Sharing a Message
We received a beautiful message this morning, that touched us so much we wanted to share.
We’re going to leave out who sent this message, but it share that it was a former member who was part of both the old Indestri Beach in Wasaga as well as with us at CFI in Collingwood. (Yep, years ago there was also an Indestri Beach location.)
I began my journey with CFI and the bridging of personal growth, resilience, and the power of community. Twelve years ago, I embarked on a journey that would forever change my life. It was at CFI Wasaga that I first discovered the foundations of CrossFit, and little did I know that this experience would open my eyes to a world far beyond just physical fitness.
CrossFit, as I learned, is not merely confined within the four walls of a gym. It is a family, a community that extends far beyond the boundaries of a workout. From the moment I stepped foot into CFI, I was welcomed with open arms by a group of individuals who shared a common passion for health, fitness, and personal growth. Together, we formed a bond that transcended the physical, and we became a family.
CFI provided me with a platform, a platform that called for action. It called upon us to not only better ourselves but to also support and uplift one another.
We became volunteers, cheerleaders, and pillars of strength for our community.
We realized that our individual goals and needs may differ, but when we come together, we are unstoppable.
Twelve years ago, I found myself in the midst of various personal challenges. Life was throwing curveballs my way, but it was during this time that I learned a valuable lesson that still resonates with me today.
I learned that no matter how many times you fall, you must always find the strength within you to get back up and keep going.
CFI instilled in me the resilience to face adversity head-on and to never give up.
At CFI, it didn't matter if you were a founding member, a visitor from another box, or a dedicated member of our community. When CFI called, we answered. We showed up, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
We understood that the true competition was not against each other, but against ourselves.
We strived to better our physical and mental health, knowing that no one was watching or judging us. We were free to grow and evolve at our own pace.
Today, you celebrate 13 incredible years of coaching, training, and experience at CFI, want to extend my heartfelt congratulations.
Congratulations to the coaches who have dedicated themselves to guiding us on this journey.
Congratulations to you all! You have pushed us beyond our limits and helped us discover our true potential. And congratulations to each and every member of our community who has shown up, day after day, to support and uplift one another.
CFI, you have given us more than just a place to work out. You have given myself a family, a community that stands together through thick and thin. You have taught me the power of resilience, the importance of supporting one another, and the value of personal growth.
I have no doubt CFI will continue to push boundaries, break barriers, and inspire one another to become the best versions of the community you reach.
Thank you, CFI, for the incredible journey. Here's to many more years of growth, strength, and community!!

It’s been 8 years that the 3 (Steph, Stouty and I) of us have owned and operated CrossFit Indestri. As mentioned last night, Scott, Tyson and Sarah owned CFI previous to us. Owning an affiliate certainly has it’s challenges, but messages like the above are one of the biggest reasons we do what we do.
It was a very unexpected message, this individual has not been a member for a number of years, so to receive this and know that CFI has had such an impact on their life is very touching, and is exactly why we do what we do, and why CFI is such a special place.
I do hope they don’t mind us sharing this, but we have kept it anonymous just incase.
