Looks like Coach Todd has some H - E - double hokey sticks in store for you tomorrow's Partner WOD. He seems to like those big amraps eh? Maybe no one hugged him enough when he was younger?Either way expect to see some more Db work the next few weeks WOD as we prep for the Open as well as get those shoulders strong. Db and Kb work is looked at as scaling by many crossfitters... This is far from true, there is way more places to hide weakness under a barbell. I am in strong belief that the DB and Kb when used correctly is much harder and better for you than a barbell. Now of course we need the barbell for some lifts but it should not be the only tool a gym goes to. The next few weeks you will see a few new db movements make their way in the program as well as some more technical movements to make sure those who are participating in the open feel prepared.Those of you who decide the open is not for you, come cheer your Swole mates on and enjoy the community and fear not if the more complex movements are not in your wheelhouse, we always have progressions or alternatives in our levels of programming!Good luck with coach G.
