Be Kind

We’re happy to see everyone in person and training together in the facility. Coach led virtual classes are a great tool to be able to keep us together and active. But it’s not quite the same as in person/together.

One thing we wanted to quickly chat about, please be kind to yourself. Even if you’ve been training at home for the past nearly two months, we’re all just coming back together, and things are going to most likely be different. You might be able to use heavier weights now, it might be the first time in nearly two months that you’ve touched a barbell, or done a pull up, hung from a rig of any sort. Be kind to yourself and give yourself some time to “get your feet back under you.”

Scaling does not make a workout less then. Intensity is relative to each person. Someone can do a workout like Fran RX’d and someone can do it scaled, and they can get the same stimulus, they can both get the exact same feeling out of the workout. That’s the beauty of intensity. It’s relative to you!

Coming back and gradually getting your feet back under you, also helps to prevent little injuries.

So over the next few weeks as we get back into routine inside the facility, be kind to yourself. Also keep in mind that just because you can, or could, maybe doesn’t always mean you should. Listen to you body, listen to you coach, talk to you coach.
