Mindset coming into Holiday Weekends
As we approach Thanksgiving weekend we just wanted to share some food for thought. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that very much centres around food, and often times we hear comments from people about having to train hard before the holiday to “earn their food” or having to train hard after the holiday to “burn off all the food they ate”.
Let’s flip this script. Stop looking at your training as a punishment for what you might eat or have eaten. Start looking at your training as a celebration of what your body is capable of doing.
No one wants to be punished, so when you look at training as a punishment, how awful is that. What are you telling yourself? Does it truly make you want to come into the facility and enjoy yourself, I highly doubt it. Food doesn’t need to be earned.
