We’re very thankful that the doors to our facility are still open. Our affiliate owner friends in Toronto, Peel + Ottawa are not so lucky. On Friday afternoon it was announced that as of Saturday morning they need to shut their doors for the next 28 days to indoor training.
Yes cases in Toronto, Peel + Ottawa are higher as Ontario is in what is being called the second wave. However, every affiliate we know in these areas is + has been doing it right! They’ve been going above + beyond the general guidelines that were put forth. Doing everything they can to ensure the health + safety of their communities. Because to CrossFit Affiliates our athletes are not just names in a computer, or a monthly income amount, the athletes who train with us become part of our community, part of our lives, we know them, we know their families, we genuinely care about their health + wellbeing. If facilities like ours were part of the problem, we would be the first to do our part to correct it.
There is a petition going around called Fight COVID-19 with Fitness. We’re asking that you please take a moment to sign it, to try + help our fellow affiliate owners + friends who have been doing everything they can to train their athletes in clean, sanitized + safe spaces. The ones who have been doing it right!
