Time Change
With the time changing last weekend, coupled with the Open and how hard the majority of you are pushing your bodies every week, you need to ensure that you are doing everything you can to recover your bodies and not run them down even more.
Sleep - Are you getting enough good quality sleep?
Hydration - Are you hydrating properly? You might need to add salts to your hydration to ensure you’re absorbing what you drink.
Nutrition - Are you eating good quality food? And are you eating enough of it, Especially protein?
Rest - Are you taking a rest day?
Sunlight (outside) - Are you getting outside to enough the beautiful sunlight we’ve been having?
Start with checking those boxes, and after those boxes are checked, add in things like restorative yoga, Vortex Wellness Studio ( Yes we will always come back to this, one their part of our community, and two it’s an amazing place and you get gifted a discount as a CFI member), Massage, Acupuncture, etc.
I know my body is feeling the time change, and the Open workouts and I know I’m not alone. I don’t normally write in caps, but this is really important so….
TAKE CARE OF YOUR RECOVERY! Being run down causes problems. It causes problems with your stress levels, hormones, adrenals, immune system, puts us at risk for injury, the list goes on. Recovery is just as important as movement. We can not stress this enough.
Train hard, Recover harder.
