Test Your Fitness
We have a few big benchmark workouts coming up, and you might also see a few repeat WOD’s coming up within weeks of each other. We don’t repeat a lot of workouts, most of the workouts we do are different, as CrossFit is constantly varied, (varied, not random), but we do, do repeat workouts, because fitness is measurable, and the way we measure to see if our fitness is improving is increased work capacity.
Did we get faster, did we lift heavier, did we do more rounds?
In order to know this, we first and foremost, need to keep track.
WRITE IT DOWN, WRITE IT DOWN, WRITE IT DOWN. Not in your phone, in a book. Bring a book to class, keep track of your workouts, write down any little coaching tips you were given, if you really want to know what’s doing on with your fitness, keep track of how you slept the night before, how you fuelled your body, how you felt, etc. All this data helps you to understand how your fitness is progressing.
