25.Done

25.1 is done. Great job to everyone who competed on Saturday, and a huge thank you to everyone who helped us out judging. We can not express our thanks enough for your help, without it, things like this wouldn’t be possible, and we say that from experience as during one of the pandemic Open’s I judged all the athletes competing in our facility myself, and it was a lot! So THANK YOU! Truly wholeheartedly a massive heartfelt thank you.

It was also so great to see everyone in their 80’s attire, and getting into the spirit of the open. While the weather wasn’t totally idea for being out and about, it was also great to have so many come in to spectate and cheer everyone on.

Thanks to Northern Hydration for making the trip to Collingwood, so give samples of the most recent flavour of their sodium drink, and to Season (Culinary Designs) for those unbelievable protein brownies!

As always thank you to Emma for capturing it all.

Congratulations to everyone again. Be proud of an incredible job well done. I was able to oversea the first few heats before judging the final few heats, and was so proud looking around, the standards of the jump over the burpee were great, it’s a very proud moment when you can look around the facility and see that effort and standard. We know for many the scores on the leaderboard are how you reflect the job you did in the workout, but that is not how we see it at all. It’s the effort you put in, and the standard of the movement that you are performing. That is where our pride comes from, and we’re extremely proud.

We’re looking forward to 25.2 this coming Saturday, theme this is week is Old School CrossFit. Think vintage CrossFit Tee’s, Reebok era, headbands, booty shorts, compression tights, board shorts, wrist wraps, knee high socks, bright colours, Nanos, etc. It’s also International Women’s Day on Saturday, so a great way to celebration all the incredibly strong women we have in our facility.
