4 KM
4KM is the difference between our facility being grey (lockdown) and green (prevent aka. basically fully open). If our facility were 4km closer to Blue Mountain Resort we would be going green not grey.
At 4:45pm on Friday evening right before heading back to the facility for the 5:30pm classes we found out via a CTV Facebook report that the Simcoe Muskoka top doc pulled the emergency brake. By the time I called the health unit, our MPP Jim Wilson and the Premiers office at 5pm, they were all closed for the weekend. Unacceptable. You deserve better! We deserve better!
We will not defy the order, we will be going back to virtual classes, but we need your help.
Small businesses are not the problem, fitness facilities are not the problem. We have written to our MPP Jim Wilson during each lockdown, and he has gone to bat for us with the Premier on both. So here’s what we’re asking.

Include in your email why keeping CrossFit Indestri open is important to you. Include how fitness plays a roll in your health and in your life, and also include your feelings towards the COVID protocols. The steps, pre-registration for classes on zenplanner, limited spaces in classes, designated workout areas more than the guidelines distance apart, sanitization protocols of all equipment, wearing facial coverings when not working out inside your area, etc.
I can tell you first hand, 100% by you reaching out to MPP Jim Wilson, it will make a difference. He has already gone to bat for us before, with your help he will have even more information to help plead our case! We don’t just want to be put back into red, we want the Ontario Government to understand that Fitness is ESSENTIAL to the health of Ontario!
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to draft and send Jim Wilson an email, not just for us, but for all small businesses. Small businesses are NOT the problem, and this move back to grey can not be justified, when you look at the fact that if we were just 4km closer to BMR our doors would be open, and restrictions would be in the green zone, not the even the red!
