The Open is Coming
This morning I woke up to the daily email from the Morning Chalk Up to find an article written about what you need to do to get ready now for the upcoming CrossFit Open.
I didn’t read the full article as it’s a paid for article, so in fairness to the article, I did not read the entire thing. But I also don’t need too. This will be my 11th CrossFit Open. Here’s what you need to do, CrossFit.
Guess what we do in classes every single day, CrossFit.
Listen to the coaching, work on what the coaches suggest you work on, come to classes consistently, and work on the intensity at which you hit the workouts in classes. The CrossFit Open is CrossFit. It’s a fun test of our current fitness levels. For 1% of the entire CrossFit community it’s the start their road to the CrossFit Games, but for the rest of us, it’s a fun test of fitness. It’s a chance to throw down with our community, and cheer each other on.
This post isn’t meant to make anyone feel bad, but as affiliate owners and coaches it’s extremely frustrating to see article talking about what you need to do for the open, when we prepare you in classes everyday for the open. Attend classes consistently, listen to the advice, tips, technique that coaches are sharing. Day in and day out we CrossFit.
If you haven’t already, get yourself signed up for the 2023 CrossFit Open. We will be doing the workouts as a facility together on Saturday mornings.
