It’s always fascinated me that you get little reminders of things when you need them. The beautiful thing about CrossFit is how close the community is, special bonds are created through the shared suffering in workouts. The people you train beside day in and day out become more than just people you see at the gym, they become friends, you get to know them and you care about them. When they’re not in you class you ask about them, etc. The same goes for us as coaches and owners. We care about each and every athlete in our space, so when you stop seeing them because they’ve taken a break, or they’ve gone on vacation, moved away, or just decided that CrossFit wasn’t for them anymore, it’s hard.
A real talk moment for you. This week I was struggling with a few situations of this, and was feeling a little down, and then the universe, or you the athletes in our space showed me though a bunch of little circumstances and situations the reminder of the strength of our community. We never take for granted how special what we do inside our facility is, but it is nice to get those little reminders just the same.
CrossFit changes lives in so many different ways, whether it’s building physical strength, mental strength, strong friendships and bonds, empowering you to believe in yourself and see that you can indeed do hard things, or so much more. The strength the comes from being a part of the CrossFit community is something you just don’t find everywhere. It’s truly special., and this week in many different little ways when I needed it, I was reminded of it.
