Box Etiquette

The ethos of CrossFit Affiliates are important. In order to ensure the ethos of CrossFit Indestri is always in tact here is the etiquette in our facility.

  • Be on time for class. Show respect to your coach and other athletes. Please ensure you always sign in for class as well.

  • Introduce yourself to all newcomers, as they may need to revive you later.

  • “Technique” is the only thing more important than the clock! Don’t ever sacrifice form for time!

  • At Indestri, we do a lot of squats. Get use to it!

  • Be Positive, show up with the right mindset. Good energy is contagious!

  • Don’t cheat the reps. Integrity is everything; you’re only cheating yourself.

  • You will get blisters on the pull-up bar. Suck it up.

  • When the coaches are briefing the workouts, please give them the time and attention to do so. Do not gather equipment, or move around the facility while the briefing is taking place, it’s distracting for the coach, as well as other athletes.

  • If somebody pukes, congratulate them as they’ve just discovered what intensity is.

  • Bring home your water bottles. We don’t need anymore.

  • If you bleed on the bars, please clean it off.

  • Chalk stays in the in bucket.

  • Let the coaches, coach! We have incredibly knowledgeable coaches at CrossFit Indestri, whose job it is to coach. While we encourage you to be supportive and encouraging of your fellow members. Please leave the technical coaching to our coaches.

  • Out of respect for all the athletes, please do not clean up your equipment during a WOD. If you finish early, hang out and cheer on everyone else finishing! We will clean up the equipment as a group after the workout!

  • Leave it better than you found it. All the equipment has a home, please ensure after class that you help it make its way back to its correct home. There isn’t a magical gym fairy to clean the gym. If you leave it out, we have to put it away for you.

  • Keep your phones out of the gym. Please do not record videos during classes, and especially do not record other athletes in videos. If a coach is not busy and you would like a movement recorded for something, please ask the coach. But do not set up your phones to record around the facility please. You’re here for 60 mins to train. Focus your attention on training.

  • Lastly, you can scream, yell, bleed, puke and pass out Just DON’T QUIT and remember to HAVE FUN!
