Resolution vs Goal
Happy New Year Everyone!Should we set New Years Resolutions or are we better to set Goals? What's the difference?
Resolution: a firm decision to do or not to do something.Goal: the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.
Goals provide a direction to follow to achieve desired outcome, they involve intention setting, planning, preparing, and taking realistic actions. Maybe this is the reason so many resolutions fail year after year. With a resolution we resolve to do something, it's cut and dry, black and white. But when we set goals, we tend to create a plan, make some steps to achieve the overall goal.Do you set resolutions for the new year? Do you set goals? Is it realistic and achievable? How can we help?
