A Message From Danielle

Ok, so those that know me..know that I am never at a loss for words but I must admit that crafting this message has taken me a long time as I really did not know what to say. On November 28, 2012 Kevin and I, along with my good friend Kari stepped into Crossfit Indestri to begin 'Foundations' and to be honest, I really did not know what I was in for..and was scared to death! I survived night one and although barely able to move on day two...I went back!  The week ended and the pain had settled into every part of my body but strangely, this 'crossfit' was something that I quickly LOVED!!  It was at the end of the first full month that I could honestly say, I missed it when I was not there (yes...the pain was still very present!!) and it was clearly part of a new routine for us.Fast forward a year...a lot of hard work...tears...a complete lifestyle change and yes some more pain and both Kevin and I are still LOVING it!  We have become part of what is a wonderful community at Crossfit Indestri; where people care about people. In my previous world, entering a gym was overwhelming and intimidating, so like many others...I did not go. I want to say with certainty that when we entered CFI this was not the case, we were welcomed, encouraged, coached and supported from that very first night; and this has continued to this day. The owners (shout out to Scott & Tyson) have created a culture where everyone is welcome, everyone is equal and everyone matters!  This is not easy to do...yet they seem to have it down!  Members become friends who care about each other and are always ready to welcome the next new person and I am incredibly proud to be part of this community!!I need to say thanks to the coaches; each of you are incredible and bring a uniqueness and sense of energy that is so appreciated.  I want to thank Kari...who is always the first to say 'good work' or share how proud she is of me...and I say 'right back at you Blondie!'.  To Kevin, my number one fan...sharing my life with you is a blessing...and everyday I consider myself lucky to have you by my side...let the journey continue 'to infinity and beyond!'109 pounds....wow.....! To say I have lost this amount in a year seems crazy to me...and I really can't describe it but what I can say is that what I have GAINED is so much more!!  I see a new me and a new path, new friendships and adventures and I am full of excitement! To all of you...those that share the journey, those near and far....THANKS!danielle
