UG Series is coming up on July 13th, this year at Osler Bluff Ski Club, and they could always use help with volunteers. If you’re interested in helping out, judging, moving weights, etc. We know they would appreciate the help.

As many of you know CrossFit Indestri was always very connected to UG Series. UG was originally founded by Scott Thornton who owned CrossFit Indestri at the time and a former member Paul Sproule, and I (Jen) volunteered to help out and take the photos for the first few UG events, and then the guys asked me to join them on the team, and the 3 of us spent 8 years running UG Series doing multiple events around Ontario and into Montreal until it was sold in August of 2019. One of the new owners is Scott’s son Nash, so the event has stayed local for us.

If you haven’t already registered to compete, or aren’t competing and you’re willing to help them out, head over to their website and volunteer please. Events like this can only run successfully because of the people willing to volunteer.

Steph and I are looking at being onsite as a shop Indestri vendor this year, with Podium, Sodii, Toe Spacers, etc. as we’re the only location in Canada that carries these products. We just have a few logistical things to sort out before we can confirm.

And this year Emma, who is my oldest daughter and does all our photography for the gym, has been hired to shoot for UG. A full circle moment, as I use to drag her and her sister all over Ontario to the UG events, and outside of the organizing, for the first few years, I was the also the main photographer covering the events.

So mark Saturday, July 13th on your calendar, for UG Series. Either competing on a team, or volunteering.
