The Open is upon us
The open is coming…..
Registration for the 2025 CrossFit Open kicks off on January 15th. It’s always an exciting time of the year, and we want all of you to sign up and take part.
Let’s fill the chalkboard with all of your names again this year.
The Open for affiliates is a celebration of the training we do daily inside our affiliates. It’s a fun 3 weeks to come together on Saturday mornings and support one another, while you put your training to the test.
For us the CrossFit Open will run on Saturday mornings.
Saturday, March 1st, Saturday, March 8th, and Saturday, March 15th.
The way we set things up, is that we open the doors at 8:30am on Saturday, and have a heat schedule on the white board, we ask that everyone competing arrive by 8:45am so we can do a quick athlete brief, go over the workout and the movement standards for both judges and athletes, and then kick off our first heat at 9am.
We’ll be talking a lot about the Open over the next couple months, and hope to cover all of your questions, but if you do have any questions, please let us know, as chances are that someone else has those same questions.
New this year is the Community Cup. We’re still learning about it, but the just is that everyone who registers to take part in the 2025 CrossFit Open in an affiliate, and completes all 3 of the open workouts with scores on the leaderboard will be invited to register for the Community Cup in June. The Community Cup is brand new for 2025, and will be an in affiliate competition where you’re leaderboard will be against everyone who is the same level as you coming out of the open. ie) Level 1 through 9.
For those new to the open and competing, this was probably just a bunch of words, we’ll explain more as we learn more. But it’s exciting for affiliates, we’re looking forward to it.
So with all that said, mark your calendars and get ready to register for the 2025 CrossFit Open on January 15th!
