We’re doing a benchmark workout today. Lynne is a great workout, but not one we do often. Lynne is more of a strength day pace workout, not a met con for time.

You’re doing 5 Rounds with lots of rest, for max effort reps.

Lynne is 5 Rounds for Reps of bodyweight benchpress, and pull ups, the sets are unbroken. ie) you will get set up on the bench, begin your benchpress, when you stop your done, note the number of reps in your book, then take a little rest, jump up on the pull up bar for max effort reps, when you break, your done your round, note your reps. Repeat for 5 full rounds.

Reps are unbroken. It’s meant to be hard, so challenge yourself. There will be lost of rest, you will need to spot each other on the bench press, the rig will house your benchpress bars, and pull ups. It’s why we don’t do this workout often, but it’s a great workout to challenge yourself.

Your score is total reps in the workout, number of benchpress, number of pull ups unbroken.

Make sure you bring your book to keep track of all your numbers during the 5 rounds.
If you don’t have a book, today is a good day to bring one, or purchase one. It’s important to keep track, as you heard in Friday’s post.
