We’ve held swimming days where every WOD of the day is at the pool. We’ve also put out invites to anyone who wants to join us at the pool on lane swim nights. Now we’re stepping it up a notch + holding 3 weeks of CrossFit Indestri weSWIM nights.
Tuesday, September 24th, Tuesday, October 1st + Tuesday, October 8th at 7:30pm at Collingwood Centennial Pool.
CrossFit Indestri has rented the pool for 1 hour for weSWIM. The program will be designed to get you in the pool swimming. Depending on the interest level on our athletes who are looking to participate, we’re happy to design different streams + levels, from those with a basic swim knowledge “beginner” looking to improve their stroke, to more advanced swimmer who’s just looking for a program + pool time, + everything in between.
The hour program will be set up much like a CrossFit WOD with a buy in, focus + workout… In the pool, with a buy in, drill work, workout!
The program will cost $30.+HST to attend + will be lead by Coach Steph + Jen.
For those who may not know, I (Jen) spent a large chunk of time in the pool, as a competitive swimmer, lifeguard + swim instructor. I’ve taught levels from parent + tots, to lifeguards in training, from advanced swimmers, to adults who were so afraid of the water that they had to have a spouse wash their hair, + by the end of our time together they were swimming in the deep end. Quite comfortable in the pool, + excited to help our community of athletes with weSWIM!
Swimming continues to become more prominent in CrossFit competitions, + its proven to be an area that the majority of CrossFitters are not overly strong in. Whether you’re looking to improve your swimming for competition or just overall fitness, we’re excited to be able to bring this opportunity to you!
If you’re interested in signing up for our CrossFit Indestri weSWIM Program, please notify Steph or Jen as soon as possible. We’re looking to have all those interested in participating signed up before September 20th, to give us time to ensure we have streams | levels programmed for every level taking part!
