We’ve had the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club camp at the gym all week from 1pm-3pm.
We love getting opportunities to partner with local organizations like the clippers to be able to expose 25-30 youth, to not only what we do at CrossFit Indestri, but to a mindset that fitness is, can be + should be fun!
There are many myths about CrossFit, + there are many misplaced views on fitness | training | working out. So opportunities like this for us, are exciting!
Our outlook on fitness | training | working out is simple. It’s a celebration of what your body is capable of doing. It’s a way to stay strong + healthy. An outlet you use to allow you to continue to play + do the activities you enjoy outside of the gym, maybe even excel at them! For some, it’s even an outlet for our mental health, we not only physically feel better, but mentally feel better. We do not ever look at Fitness | training | working out as a punishment for something we/you ate or drank.
Being able to expose young children to making fitness fun, is not only exciting but it’s needed! There is such a stigma that surrounds body image, if we’re able to displace some of that, switch the view or mindset, how incredible is that!
It’s been a fun week! These kids have been great!
