It is the week leading up to Christmas and we have schedule changes happening over the holidays. We will also be holding our annual “12 Days of Christmas” workout on December 24th, with our annual “A Frogman Christmas” workout scheduled for boxing day!
Here are the hours over the holidays
Christmas Eve open doors at 9am, close at 12pm with the 12 Days of Christmas at 9:30am.
Closed Christmas Day
Open 5:30pm for “A Frogman Christmas”, close at 7:30pm (You have a 2 hour time cap on the workout)
Kids classes will only be held on Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd. ALL OTHER KIDS CLASSES WILL BE CANCELLED UNTIL SCHOOL RESUMES.
New Year’s Eve Open from 9am to 12pm. 9:30am class will be available/
New Year’s Day Will be open for Coach Steph’s return, and her hangover workout at 11am for one hour. Have fun with this one!
Classes will resume after New Year’s Day. We are making changes to the schedule. It is in everyone’s best interest to sign in for classes (This does not include calling our gym to have our staff sign you in). If you do not know your password for Zen Planner, we will be more than happy to email you the password reset. This will give you an idea of what the new schedule will be going forward in the new year.
Steph will be back as of January 1st! Exciting times, as she is eager to get back to kicking your butts!
We will be holding a “State of the Union” meeting sometime in the new year for all our members. We will be launching new programs, and will take you through a rundown of what direction we want our facility to go. Everyone will be welcome to attend, as it is another time to socialize along with having your two cents heard by all. We want to continue to be one of the top facilities in Ontario, and to do so, we have to give our members more options. There are rumors out there, and we will be confirming the truth in due time;)
On another note, we have learned our voice mail here at the gym has not been functioning properly, and we have not been alerted of new messages for roughly 6 months. I apologize if we have not returned phone calls, as this was a technical issue Bell is rectifying (and will have to duly compensate us in some form).
Here are your CrossFit Workouts for the week of December 21st in Collingwood!
Let’s have some high rep fun with strength focus this week. Yes, yes, some of you may have been led to believe you should only do low reps for training. We are trying to be well rounded athletes, not typical “Globo-gym” bicep curlers. We never, nor will we ever promote such garbage at a facility that was built on being an inclusive, secure, and comfortable place to gain a healthy perspective on life.

Increase your heart rate with the following CrossFit workout:
Row 60 calories
50 Toes to Bar
40 Box Jumps
30 DB lunges
20 Dumbell Hang Cleans
10 Bar Muscle Ups (or 30 Pull Ups)
Banded Shoulder Press 5X10
Here is the exercise that will make you stronger. Yes, stronger. It’s funny, a lot of s@#$ talking has gone into banded shoulder press and KB shoulder exercises incorporated into high rep training at our facility. Stouty smashed all his 1RM’s this past week with only using KBs and DBs.

12 Days Of Christmas Will be held at 9:30am. See you then!
Wrestle A Polar Bear in memory of Coach Bill. Merry Christmas from everyone at CrossFit Indestri. We appreciate your ongoing support, and we would not be at the location we are without your dedication to our facility.
It is that time of year again, and one of the more tougher, grinder, Stouty likey workouts:
“A Frogman Christmas”
100 Strict Pull Ups
250 Push Ups
500 Sit Ups
Yes, you can scale. Yes, you can row before you start the workout. There will be a 2 hour time cap. If you haven’t been with us since last year, this is a Boxing Day tradition at Indestri. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU TAKE A DAY OR TWO OFF AFTER YOU PERFORM THIS WORKOUT.
Have fun with this one!
I have put an average of 2000 hours into coaching/training/educating each of the last three years on top of the previous 18 years I spent training in a gym environment. This puts me near the 10,000 hour rule. And I still do not walk around like I am king s@#$ of fitness. Everyone can constantly learn from everyone around them. Indestri rule- Check your ego at the door, like I do every single day I walk through our entrance.
