Alight – time to get back on track and get into the routines of healthy lifestyle again!
The holidays are done, and typically this is when people start some crazy crash diet to get trim/jacked before the spring break trip coming up. However, as I usually rant about, these diets are the least healthy, especially if you’re interested in long term health. Plus they do nothing for your athletic performance.
I will be doing another Real Food Challenge this winter, with a focus on overall health and sports performance (for those competing this spring, like in the Crossfit Open). It will involve a 90 min lecture with more on the why and how’s (versus the rules like last winter) and then a 30 day challenge. We will have prizes – but they won’t be necessarily who lost the most weight. There was some great results last year in changes in their mental relationships with food – which was my intent.
I’ll post on the CFI Facebook page a poll of dates (will likely be a Sunday afternoon) and will update the date once it’s agreed upon on the blog. I am thinking maybe February 2 (the day after Winterfest – a perfect way to recover).
In the meantime, throw out all those desserts and bad food-like items, order a paleo cookbook from amazon, and start thinking about what and why you’re eating it.
I am looking forward to hearing all the great success stories again this year- I was moved beyond words last winter.
