Congratulations to everyone who competed in 24.1 on Saturday. The energy in the facility was electric. It’s exciting to have 65 athletes registered for 2024, which is the most athletes we’ve had in a while, and so many (over 20) first timers.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to help judge, and ensure that everything and all heat times ran smoothly. We couldn’t run events like this without you.

It was also great to see so many non competing members come out to support and cheer on all the athletes competing, and family and friends come in to support you too. And so many of you to stick around for the entire morning.

Set up in terms of athlete briefing, start time, parking, etc will remain the same for 24.2 this coming Saturday. A reminder that the theme for 24.2 is Canadian AF. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for attire. For 24.2 we’re also going to set up a potluck snack table in the lobby. We’ll have a few fruit trays, if you would like to bring anything to add to the table, please feel free.

For those who competed on Saturday, you’ll have to base your training right now on how your body feels, vs. your typical routine, or FOMO if you see a workout you like on the blog. Take your recovery seriously. If your shoulder (traps) are tight, or your backs are sore, rest, recover. It will not hinder your open workouts on Saturday’s if you rest and recover a few days through the week, but it will hinder them if you don’t. Just listen to your body.

REMEMBER, YOU NEED TO SUBMIT YOUR 24.1 SCORE BY MONDAY, SO GET IT SUBMITTED NOW. There is nothing we can do if you forget to submit before the deadline, this is CrossFit HQ’s competition, everything is out of our hands.

Goal maintain 75% effort thought out each interval this is 30 mins of cardio keep moving, transition quickly
